KTI NEWS
I hope everyone had a AWESOME April! We are continually posting updates on our website, make sure you get on there and see our changes. www.knowltontrucking.com
Clean Truck Policy – If it is determined that a truck requires a cleaning service, the driver responsible for that tractor will be charged a $300.00 cleaning fee. To avoid this fee, make sure you keep your truck clean and remove trash at the end of each day/week. Our shops will NOT work on our trucks if they are not presentable so, please make sure you dispose of ALL urine collection containers and ALL trash.
SAFETY IS IMPORTANT……
6 Class A CDL Truck Driver Safety Tips for Over the Road
As a Class A CDL truck driver, safety should always be your top priority. It is essential for the well-being of yourself and those around you and can also impact your job performance and reputation as a professional driver.
Here are some tips to help you stay safe over the road:
1. Get plenty of rest: Being well-rested is one of the most critical factors in staying safe on the road. Getting enough sleep before starting a long haul and taking breaks to rest and recharge is essential.
2. Practice defensive driving: Always be aware of your surroundings and anticipate potential hazards. Keep safe from other vehicles, be mindful of the weather and road conditions, and expect the unexpected.
3. Stay alert: long hauls can be monotonous, and it's easy to fall into boredom or complacency. Stay alert by listening to music, eating healthy snacks, and taking breaks to stretch and walk around.
4. Follow all traffic laws: It's important to follow traffic laws and regulations, including speed limits and traffic signals; it'll keep you safe and helps to maintain a good reputation as a professional driver.
5. Keep your vehicle well-maintained: Properly maintaining your vehicle is essential for safety on the road. Regularly check and maintain the brakes, tires, and other mechanical components.
6. Use caution when driving in inclement weather: Inclement weather can be a significant hazard for truck drivers. Slow down and be cautious in rainy, snowy, or icy conditions.
By following these tips, you can help ensure your safety and have a successful Class A CDL truck driver career. Remember, safety should always be your top priority when behind the wheel.

"Always drive defensively and not offensively, make sure to check your blind spots."
HEALTHY TIP
Eat healthy foods!
Eating healthy is a keyway to bolster your immune system and to give your body the vitamins and minerals it needs to stave off infectious diseases. Look for foods high in omega-3, iron, and vitamin C, such as green leafy vegetables, fish, and fruits. Healthy eating habits are essential for boosting your immune system and maintaining your long-term health. Be sure to pack lots of healthy snacks while you’re on the road to make eating healthy easier and more convenient.
Some foods you can include in your diet:
• Fruits (though don’t overdo these as they are still a source of sugar)
• Vegetables
• Leafy greens and salads
• Green drink
If you get sick, foods like chicken soup, fruits, and electrolyte drinks such as Gatorade, or Pedialyte, can help you feel better.
Congratulations to our May
