THE KNOWLTON TRUCKING HISTORY
Knowlton Trucking Inc (KTI) is a small family and veteran owned and operated business out of KCMO. KTI was started in 2005 when Robert and Bryan Knowlton (father and son) were running OTR for Interstate distribution company, running in old equipment that broke down often, and getting little home time. Bryan had heard about contracting for Fedex Ground, and decided to look into it. Bryan and Robert soon bought a brand new 2005 Volvo tractor, and began the Knowlton Trucking Inc journey contracting for Fedex Ground.
His brothers soon joined in, and KTI bought their second truck in 2011, and replaced the 2006 Tractor. Slowly through the years they added tractors to the fleet, and got routes and continued to grow in the fedex ground contractor network. Bryans friend and in the US army, Clinton Curtis joined in 2016 taking on operations for the Western Kansas and our Team Drivers. Larry Vosika was brought on in 2024 to management but was employed with KTI for 5 years as a driver, and worked into a management position with his dedication and hard work. Larry Vosika took over the P&D and Solo Drivers. Robert has since retired.
Today KTI runs 42 trucks, and employs roughly 55 employees currently in 2 states (MO, KS). The business is constantly evolving and roles are growing and changing as the business needs grow and change.
