KNOWLTON TRUCKING

NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY 2023

HUGE SHOUT OUT TO……

Todd and Shannon Peltzer

We received an email from an educator, traveling on EB I-70, that was very thankful to the Peltzer’s for their safe driving on the roads. A few things she mentioned were

  • Your driver was in the right lane
  • Traveling slightly under the speed limit
  • Traveling multiple car lengths behind the vehicle in front, it was obvious the driver intentionally maintained a safe stopping distance
  • The driver-maintained control of the lane (no veering onto the shoulder or into the left lane)
  • The driver continued to maintain control and stay in the right lane as I passed on the left

KTI NEWS

I hope everyone had a great January and an awesome start to the new year!  We are continuing to try and keep you informed with our Newsletters, so I hope you are finding them useful. Hopefully everyone has had a chance to look at the updated website! www.knowltontrucking.com

INSURANCE –I have sent an email to all and trying to get an idea on all who are interested in insurance for open enrollment in March. Our representative will be here in the next couple of weeks to meet with all of you that are wanting insurance through Knowlton Trucking. We are also excited to announce that Knowlton Trucking will be offering Life Insurance options for all employees.

“BETTER TOGETHER” –Doesn’t that sound great when you think about Knowlton Trucking. I was able to visit with Tim Perkins this month. What a great conversation we had on ways to keep everyone positive and motivated. He has asked to challenge our drivers to call one of our managers and just have something positive to share with them this month. Let’s see how many of you can take on this challenge!!!

SAFETY IS IMPORTANT……

Continually check all mirrors while backing. Perform a walk- around. Walk around the vehicle before backing it and after it has been parked for a while. Look for children, animals, soft or muddy areas, potholes, tire hazards, or other possible dangers.

PAY IT FORWARD – We have more to share in January on how our people paid it forward. What a great opportunity this was for Knowlton Trucking to give us this opportunity to be that blessing to someone.

Amanda Allison – Matched what Knowlton gave her and bought groceries for a mom and child. Also helped a stranded traveler

Dale Henry – Gave to a gentleman in need at the laundry mat

Jerry and Marcia Rudolph- Female FedEx custodian for Christmas and bought groceries for a family in need.

One of our Junction City Driver’s - Saw someone in need that needed their vehicle fixed

HEALTHY TIP – Getting enough water every day is important for your health. Drinking water can prevent dehydration, a condition that can cause unclear thinking, result in mood change, cause your body to overheat, and lead to constipation and kidney stones. Water has no calories, so it can also help with managing body weight and reducing calorie intake when substituted for drinks with calories, such as sweet tea or regular soda.

Water helps your body:

        •      Keep a normal temperature.

           •         Lubricate and cushion joints.

           •         Protect your spinal cord and other sensitive tissues.

           •         Get rid of wastes through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements.
